Sailing is such a unique experience! If you’re looking to connect with nature without the noise of a gasoline engines, a sailboat is the way to go. There are 2 different bays to find sailboat rentals – Mission Bay, and San Diego Bay.
If you’re looking to rent a sailboat in San Diego Bay, we recommend renting a large sailboat above 30ft in length. Mission Bay on the other hand, is much calmer waters and allows smaller sailboat rentals.
Mission Bay’s sailboat rentals are located near Sail Bay and may only be used in the north-west portion of the bay in-between the Mission Bay Bridge and the Ingraham St. Bridges. Make sure to rent a sailboat that allows you the most area to sail that is away from both bridges (you cannot sail under the bridge!)
